“If the government continues to carry out its activities against the statute, it may lead to frustration among the people towards a democratic system,” Deuba argued.
Deuba called for internationalizing the concerns of Dalit community. He also stressed on the collaboration among the parliaments of the countries on Dalit issues.
“As the proposed laws including Media Council Bill, Guthi Bill, National Security Bill and Bill relating to National Human Rights Commission tabled by the government are against people’s will and the principle of inclusiveness, our party has strongly opposed such proposals of the government,” Deuba asserted.
Taking a strong exception to the government’s decision of dissolving Dalit Development Committee, Deuba blamed the government of not being sincere to protecting the constitutionally -guaranteed rights of the Dalit community.
