Dhakal promoted to Chief Registrar, Paudel to Registrar of Supreme Court

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The Judicial Service Commission has promoted the secretary of the Judicial Council, Devendra Raj Dhakal, to the position of Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.

Transfer of five joint secretaries


KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The Judicial Service Commission has promoted the secretary of the Judicial Council, Devendra Raj Dhakal, to the position of Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.


A meeting of the commission held today decided to promote Dhakal to the position of Chief Registrar of the apex court.

The post was vacant after SC Chief Registrar Lal Bahadur Kunwar was recommended as a high court judge.


Likewise, the Judicial Service Commission has promoted Bimal Paudel, Joint Registrar of the Supreme Court, to the post of Registrar.


The Judicial Service Commission has also transferred five Joint Secretaries.


Bhadrakali Pokharel, spokesperson of the Supreme Court and head of the case division, has been transferred to the Judicial Council.


The Joint Secretary of the Judicial Council, Man Bahadur Karki, has been transferred to the Registrar of Patan High Court Patan, and the Registrar of Patan High Court, Thagindra Kattel, has been transferred to the Supreme Court.


Likewise, positions of Ved Prasad Upreti, Director General of the Judgment Execution Directorate and Suryabamsha Sharma Kandel who is in the Supreme Court have been swapped.
