KATHMANDU, March 28: Eight individuals were injured in an accident involving a Toyota Hiace van and a passenger bus in Chitwan. They were injured when the van lost control and hit a bus that was parked at the checking post on the Mugling-Narayanghat highway in Ramnagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality.
The incident occurred as the van (Ga 2 Kha 225) traveling to Kathmandu from Jhapa collided uncontrollably with a bus (Ba Pra 01-006 Kha 4888) going in the same direction.

Chitwan Police reported that four of the injured individuals are in critical condition. They are currently receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur. The injured have been identified as 44-year-old Meena Sapkota from Bharatpur-11, 40-year-old Keshar Sah, 51-year-old Dhanumaya Dhakal from Bharatpur-14, and 30-year-old Kashi Uparkoti from Bharatpur-2. Police noted that they have received severe head injuries.
Additionally, 44-year-old Mekna Tamang from Bharatpur-21, 53-year-old Hariram Dhakal from Bharatpur-14, Tul Bahadur Ghale, and Preeti Ramtel from Gorkha Siranchok sustained minor injuries and are in stable condition.
