LAMJUNG, Nov 18: A 70-year-old woman died and 11 others sustained injuries when a Bolero jeep skidded off the road and plunged into Kisedi River in Lamjung.
The incident took place when the ill-fated jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7127) en route to Pachok of Dordi Rural Municipality from Sundarbazar slipped off the mountain on Wednesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Moni Gurung, 70. She breathed her last while undergoing treatment. Her mortal remains have been taken to Lamjung District Community Hospital for post-mortem.
According to Police Inspector of District Police Office Lamjung Om Prakash Pun, four out of 11 are critically injured and seven have sustained minor injuries. Among the injured are Nirajan Gurung, 15, and Suresh Gurung, 17, Prakash Gurung, 20, of ward-5 of the same municipality and Panchan Bahadur Tamang, 48, of ward-4, the police informed.
Other injured are jeep driver Makhan Singh Gurung, 37, of Dordi-5, Pachowk, Dukhit Gurung, 35, of same ward, five-year-old Dipshon Gurung, five-year-old Ashika Gurung, Masina Gurung, 42, Niranjan Gurung, 16, and eight Nirjala Gurung. The injured are undergoing treatment at the community hospital.
