JANAKPUR, Sept 11: Nepali Congress (NC) former General Secretary Bimalendra Nidhi has argued that the third phase of local level election to be held in Province No 2 on September 18 would offer a chance to identity who were for federalism and who were not.
At a press meet organized by NC, Janakpur Chapter in Janakpurdham today, leader Nidhi stated that the need of the hour was to defeat and wipe out those opposing constitution-mandated federalism in the country.

Stating that CPN-UML was an anti-Madheshi force, Nidhi warned that time has come that the Madheshi community may teach a lesson to the CPN (UML) party in the upcoming election.
His statement was directed at the UML's stance against Madhesh's issues.
Nidhi also blamed that the constitution amendment could not be forwarded due to the objection from UML that he believed now is fearful of humiliating defeat in the election in province no 2.
Similarly, NC central committee member and Coordinator of the Publicity Committee Ramesh Lekhak claimed that the people were endorsing NC in province no 2.
According to him, the upcoming election was both a challenge and opportunity for the voters to help NC emerge a winner in the province with dominance of Madheshi community.
Lekhak was of the view that the upcoming election was a referendum between those standing for and against the Madhesh and Madheshi community. RSS
