KATHMANDU, July 22: The EPS Korea branch, operating under the Department of Foreign Employment, has commenced the application process for the re-language test aimed at Nepali workers who have legally completed five years of work in South Korea and subsequently returned to Nepal.
According to Gurudatta Subedi, the Director and Information Officer of the department, eligible individuals can apply for the language test from July 29 to July 31. The language test is scheduled to take place from September 4 to September 15, with the results set to be published on September 20.
Applications open for Korean language test
The EPS Korea branch has issued a notice, clarifying that this application opportunity is in line with the process of re-employing workers who have lawfully returned from South Korea under the agreement between the governments of Nepal and the Republic of Korea.
As per the published notice, applicants must be Nepali citizens and individuals who have previously obtained employment in Korea under the EPS scheme. Moreover, they should have voluntarily returned to Nepal within the visa period after January 1, 2010. The age range for eligible applicants is between 18 and 39 years. Additionally, candidates must not have a criminal record or a history of illegal residence in Korea, and they should not be restricted from international travel by Nepali authorities.
Furthermore, individuals who have stayed in Korea for less than five years on E-9 and 3-9-1 visas and are eligible to participate in the EPS language test conducted by Korea's Human Resources Department are encouraged to submit their application.
In the past, some returnees from Korea expressed their grievances as they faced obstacles in returning to Korea.
