KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Former lawmaker Yogendra Ghising has been arrested on the charge of sexually abusing a college girl while she was travelling in a public bus in Lalitpur. Police arrested him after passengers complained about the incident.

“The former lawmaker has been arrested on the charge of misbehaving with the girl on the bus. The investigation into his case is underway,” said Durga Singh, a Superintendent of Police in Lalitpur.

Both the girl and the former lawmaker were travelling in a passenger bus in route to Bhainsepati from Ratnapark. The girl had reportedly retaliated when the accused, who was on the same seat, sexually abused her.
