Finance ministry reshuffles responsibilities of 6 joint secretaries

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has changed the responsibilities of six joint secretaries. According to a ministerial decision, Mahesh Acharya has been given the responsibility  to oversee the Administration Division within the MoF.

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has changed the responsibilities of six joint secretaries. According to a ministerial decision, Mahesh Acharya has been given the responsibility  to oversee the Administration Division within the MoF.


Joint Secretary Rajeshwar Gyawali has been transferred to the Financial Comptroller General Office. Comptroller General Shambhu Prasad Marasini has been reassigned to lead the Department of Customs, Tripureshwar.

Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal has been transferred as the head of the Medium Level Taxpayer Office in Babar Mahal. Parbati Sharma has been given the role of Deputy Director General of the Inland Revenue Department. Mahesh Baral, another Joint Secretary at the MoF, will be working within the high-level advisory committee tasked with reforming the tax system.
