KATHMANDU, May 11: A five-day event is set to mark the biggest cash prize volleyball competition in Nepal, kicking off in Libang, Rolpa, from May 12. National Sports Council (NSC) made the announcement at an official event held in Kathmandu on Thursday.
In a bid to revive the national sport in different parts of the country, the event has been designed for the development of infrastructure, coaching, encouragement and competiveness, according to the NSC.
APF defeats Police to clinch Speaker’s Cup title
The top prize for the first ever Speaker Cup National Volleyball Competition for Men and Women has been fixed at Rs 350,000 each for both categories. Similarly, the first runner-ups will receive Rs 200,000 each and second runner-ups will take home Rs 100,000 each.
