Former Nepali envoy to Pakistan no more

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Former Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Pushkar Man Singh Rajbhandari passed away Friday night.

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Former Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Pushkar Man Singh Rajbhandari passed away Friday night. 


Late ambassador Rajbhandari, who is also current President of Association of Former Career Ambassadors of Nepal(AFCAN), breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu. In his capacity as Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, Rajbhandari was also concurrently accredited to Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey as Nepal’s non-resident ambassador.

Rajbhandari served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1971-2006 in different capacities in different countries including Pakistan, Thailand, China and Russia. He also served as a spokesperson for the SAARC for some time in its initial years of the establishment.
