BARDIYA, July 25: Police have arrested five cadres during a bandh called by Biplav-led faction in the district on Monday.
The arrested are Bardia District Secretary Devkala Adhikari, members Jaya Bahadur Thada, Bir Bahadur Pariyar and Bibek Poudel.

The cadres were arrested while they were announcing bandh, using a loud-hailer.
Both the long and short-route vehicles have stayed off the road while schools, market-places and factories have remained shut.
However, ambulances, motorcycles, press and diplomatic vehicles are seen plying on the road.
