KATHMANDU, Nov 20: French Ambassador to Nepal Francois-Xavier Leger has held a meeting with Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by the Home Minister's secretariat, Home Minister Thapa and envoy Leger dwelled on mutual cooperation, bilateral ties between the two countries in a half-an-hour-long meeting.

In the meeting held at the Home Ministry, Thapa appreciated the assistance Nepal has been receiving from France and expressed hope that it would continue in future, too.
Meanwhile, Thapa also urged Leger to encourage French citizens to invest in Nepal's hydro, infrastructure, tourism sectors.
Envoy Leger expressed hope that the newly formed Nepal-France parliamentary forum will help further cement the age-old ties between the two countries.
Similarly, he expressed concerns about the security of over 30,000 French citizens who come to visit Nepal every year.
