Home Minister Thapa calls for ending syndicate in sports

KATHMANDU, July 7: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa on Saturday stressed the need for wiping out syndicate in sports. "Syndicate in any form is not acceptable," he said at a programme organized here by the Nepal Magar Sports Association to honor Magar athletes.

He also praised the Magar community for its special contribution to politics and sports alike. "Peace, good governance and the control of criminal activities will help achieve economic prosperity of the country. I want to urge all to help in this regard," he said. 


Likewise, Vice Chairperson of the Sports Association Chandra Prakash Gharti Magar, also mayor of Bheri Municipality, said the state should focus on conserving art and culture of Magar community. RSS
