KATHMANDU, July 2: Police have arrested gangster Satya Man Lama in a fraud case. A team of Metropolitan Crime Division has arrested Lama from Jadibuti on Tuesday.
Lama, who hails from Kavre, has been accused of swindling in the name of social service. Police have arrested Lama following a complaint lodged against him for raising a fund of Rs 17.5 million illegally to make a hospital at Narayansthan, Timal rural municipality-5 of Kavre, informed SSP Sahakul Thapa of the division.

Last year, Lama was accused of robbing Buddha-Chitta (prayer beads) from the farmers of and smuggling it. Police had arrested Lama charging him of his involvement in trading red sandalwood.
