KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Gold price has set a new record in the domestic market, rising by Rs 1,800 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the price of fine gold reached Rs 115,500 per tola on Friday.

On Thursday, the price of fine gold reached Rs 113,700 per tola, which was the highest price ever. Earlier on August 20, fine gold achieved its highest trading price ever at Rs 113,600 per tola.
Similarly, the price of standard gold is set at Rs 114,950 per tola on Friday. It was traded at Rs 113,150 per tola on Thursday.
The price of silver has also seen a slight increase of Rs 5 per tola, with the current price of Rs 1,400 per tola compared to the previous rate of Rs 1,395 per tola.
In the international market, the price of gold, which was set at $1,948.99 per ounce on Thursday, surged to $1,978.31 per ounce today. Similarly, silver is being traded at $22.95 per ounce.
