KATHMANDU, June 12: The price of fine gold in the domestic market is Rs 99,200 per tola today, an increase of Rs 1,500 from that of yesterday. Gold was traded at Rs 97,700 per tola the previous day. The increase is the biggest one witnessed this month.
Similarly, the price of spot gold in the domestic market is Rs 98,700 per tola today, according to the publications made available by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association. Yesterday’s trading occurred at Rs 97,200 per tola.
Gold price rises by Rs 800 per tola
According to Reuters, the gold price bounced back in volatile trading on Friday after inflation rates elevated in the US. Spot gold rose 1.4% to $1,873.58 per ounce by 2:40 PM EDT Friday.
The price of silver has also increased by Rs 15 per tola. The metal is being traded at Rs 1280 today while it was traded at Rs 1265 per tola the day before.
