Gold price sees a slight drop in domestic market

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The price of gold has seen a slight drop in the domestic market as it is being traded for Rs 96,100 per tola on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The price of gold has seen a slight drop in the domestic market as it is being traded for Rs 96,100 per tola on Sunday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the market opened on Sunday with a slight drop of Rs 300 per tola in the gold price. Gold was traded for Rs 96,400 per tola on Friday. There has been no gold trade whatsoever because of the shutdown of services followed by the recently imposed prohibitory orders. Gold dealers say that the market of gold has not been doing well for a year now.


Though the gold price has been steadily rising since the market resumed in June, the rate has seen a slight drop since last week. Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs 10 per tola on Sunday as it was traded for Rs 1,320 per tola. The price was Rs 1,310 per tola on Friday.
