The gold seized from the airport was taken to the Mint Division at Babarmahal on Thursday afternoon from DRI.

DRI recovered the gold that was hidden in the brakes after it had passed the TIA customs from Sinamangal in Kathmandu. The DRI estimates that there is 80 to 100 kg of gold in those brakes.  The actual weight of gold will be known only after Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) weighs the gold.
