KATHMANDU, March 27: Golden Gate International College has defeated the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) in the ongoing first Kwiks Men’s Basketball League on Monday. This is the first defeat for Army in the league so far.

In the last match of the league phase, Golden Gate beat Army 90-85 in its home court in Battisputali. Golden Gate won the first quarter 24-17, but Army drew the second 26-26. Golden Gate won the third quarter 26-20, and the fourth 20-16. Army’s Rejin Joshi scored the highest 27 in the match. Army, Golden Gate, Bishal Milan Kendra and Himalayan Hounds are already into the playoffs which will start from Wednesday. In the other match played on the same day, Kirtipur Basketball Club saw off South Siders 47-45.
