Govt expects new police chiefs to ensure sound security

KATHMANDU, May 2: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said the government hopes to see strengthened and sound security in the nation during the terms of Nepal Police chief Dhiraj Pratap Singh and Armed Police Force chief Raju Aryal.

KATHMANDU, May 2: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said the government hopes to see strengthened and sound security in the nation during the terms of Nepal Police chief Dhiraj Pratap Singh and Armed Police Force chief Raju Aryal. 


During a meeting with the newly elected Inspectors General of both security forces at the home ministry today, after the two top cops assumed office, the home minister urged them to make the required preparations for ensuring free and impartial local level elections slated for May 13. On the occasion, the minister wished for the successful terms of IGs Singh and Aryal.

Prior to this, the newly-appointed Inspectors General of Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force were presented with the insignia of the Inspector General. 


Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey decorated them with the insignia at an investiture ceremony organized at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
