KATHMANDU, May 17:The government has recommended to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari to summon federal parliament on May 17. 


A cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to recommend President Bhandari to summon the budget session of federal parliament.

As there is a constitutional provision that the government should present the annual budget on May 29, the discussion over the budget and its policies and programs should be conducted before unveiling the new budget.
