Heart hospital provides free treatment service to 1,159 patients

BUTWAL, Aug 11: The Gautam Buddha Community Heart Hospital here has provided free check up and treatment services to 1,159 patients coming from the economically poor and underprivileged communities in the fiscal year 2016/2017. 


This many heart and kidney patients availed of free service under the government free treatment quota and under the same quota provided by the hospital itself.

Hospital's chairman Aizaz Alam said that the hospital provided free treatment worth 69 million 989 thousand 406 rupees. The hospital bore the cost. 


The treatment cost for 516 people was borne by the hospital while the cost of remaining patients from the underprivileged class was borne under the government's free treatment quota. 


According to hospital sources, 331 kidney patients availed of free dialysis service worth over Rs 40.7 million. Similarly, 312 heart patients benefitted from the free treatment service under the government's quota which cost Rs 22.49 million.
