Heavy rainfall likely in four provinces today

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: At present the low pressure line of Monsoon is located near the northern part of Nepal, with a partial influence from the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal. As a result of which there is light rain in a couple of places in Lumbini and Gandaki provinces in the morning, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: At present the low pressure line of Monsoon is located near the northern part of Nepal, with a partial influence from the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal. As a result of which there is light rain in a couple of places in Lumbini and Gandaki provinces in the morning, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).


The DHM has said that there will be partial to normal rains across the country in the afternoon. Few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in the rest of the region are likely to receive light to moderate rain.

There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces. It is said that there will be partial to normal rains throughout the country at night. Few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in the remaining areas are likely to receive light to moderate rain. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
