Go abroad for study only after completing due legal process: Home ministry

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has requested the students going abroad for study to leave the country only after completing the process prescribed by the concerned country and the educational institution of that country.

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has requested the students going abroad for study to leave the country only after completing the process prescribed by the concerned country and the educational institution of that country.


Joint Secretary Phanindra Mani Pokharel, who is also spokesperson at the MoHA, issued a statement on Monday saying that they have received complaints that students going abroad for study were cheated and left stranded abroad.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has said that the government has intensified surveillance on unlicensed educational consulting firms, unauthorized online advertising agencies and those illegally acting as representatives of various educational institutions abroad.


Spokesperson Pokharel also urged all to inform or lodge complaints at the District Administration Office in Nepal or the nearest Police Office and Nepali diplomatic missions abroad against such individuals or organizations working illegally.
