KATHMANDU, July 28: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has appealed to all the citizens not to be lured by proposals of employment through the visit visa.

The MoHA made the appeal referring to complaints of people being left stranded after reaching foreign destination on a visit visa but not being able to get a job and having to return back. Such incidents have increased of late.

“The government will have no legal grounds to provide insurance, compensation and relief in case such stranded citizens are to be rescued and brought back home,” the ministry cautioned in a statement issued on Wednesday.

The MoHA has stressed that the visit visa should be used only to travel as a tourist or as a visitor.
