KATHMANDU, June 21: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been put off for half an hour after passing a condolence motion on the demise of Prithvi Bahadur Singh, the Sudurpaschim province government minister for internal affairs and law, in a jeep accident.
Singh was elected the member of the Province Assembly from Bajhang electoral constituency number 1, Province Assembly constituency 1 on a Nepali Congress ticket in the election held in 2079 BS.
House passes condolence motion on Limbu's demise
Singh is a leader who played a leading role in the democratic movement and made a significant contribution to rural development. He died in a jeep accident on Tuesday while going to his home district Bajhang from Dadeldhura.
A meeting of the lower house of the Federal Parliament expressed condolences on the demise of the 65-year-old leader in the road accident and paid tributes to him.
Singh's spouse and sister-in-law also died in the accident. The HoR has extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
