BHAKTAPUR, Aug 16: After witnessing the novel coronavirus disease in the Municipality, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality has decided to suspend all kinds of activities except the emergency ones from Sunday.


This decision will be in effect till Aug 25. The markets have been allowed to open from 11 am to 1pm for purchase of daily essentials.

Likewise, the municipality has also restricted the operation of passenger vehicles during this period.


The Madhyapur Thimi-based Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital  has also suspended all its services except emergency from Saturday after some of its health workers and employees tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).


Four employees of the hospital were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Friday. Three of them are nurses and the other is a man responsible for managing the parking lot of the hospital.
