KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Farmers are seen picking marigold flowers for decoration during the Tihar festival at Ichangu, Kathmandu.


Marigold flowers are used to decorate houses and are offered to the gods during the Tihar festival.

Meanwhile, the government has halted the issuance of import permits for Indian marigold garlands, ensuring there will be no import of these garlands during the upcoming Tihar festival.
