KATHMANDU, Oct 21: At least 88 people have been killed in the recent floods and landslides in different districts of the country as of Thursday morning, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A total of 30 people have gone missing, according to the ministry's disaster management division. As many as 11 deaths have been confirmed today alone. Earlier, 63 deaths were confirmed on Wednesday and 14 on Tuesday. The highest death toll was 27 in Panchthar. Similarly, 13 people have died in Illam and Doti districts each.

Likewise, human casualties have been reported in 15 districts including Kalikot, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Bajhang, Humla, Solukhumbu, Pyuthan, Dhankuta, Morang, Sunsari and Udayapur, said Joint Secretary at the MoHA Humkala Pandey. The disaster has affected at least 20 districts.
The highest number of missing persons is 21 in Bajhang. According to the MoHA, 30 people have gone missing in different districts including four in Panchthar.
