KATHMANDU, Nov 29: India national women’s volleyball team beat Bangladesh in terrific straight sets 25-8, 25-11, 25-9 at the 13th South Asian Games being held in Kathmandu.
In the match played at the National Sports Council's covered hall at Tripureshwor, India registered its consecutive victory in the group stage match. Earlier on Thursday, it defeated Nepal.

With this, India and Nepal have made it to the semifinals from Group ‘A’. Host Nepal which had defeated Bangladesh in its first match on Wednesday and suffered a loss against India in the second match on Thursday has reached the semifinals as a group runner-up.
Sri Lanka and the Maldives have already reached the semifinals from Group ‘B’ following Pakistan’s walkover. Nepal will meet the winner of Sri Lanka- Maldives match in the semi-finals while India will play against the runner-up of Group ‘B’.
Sri Lanka and the Maldives are playing at 3 pm later this afternoon.
