KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Chief of Indian Army Manoj Pande arrived in Kathmandu this afternoon. He arrived in Kathmandu with a five-member team for a four-day visit at the official invitation of the Nepal Army (NA) Chief Prabhu Ram Sharma.
General Pande is scheduled to sit for bilateral talks with Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Sharma, attend a program to hand over assistance on behalf of the Indian Army to the Nepal Army, hold interactions with the students of Army Command and Staff College and visit the Mid-Western Command Headquarters.

In the course of his five-day visit to Nepal, General Pande will pay homage at the Brave Soldier Memorial at Sainik Manch Tudikhel and inspect the parade of honors at the Nepal Army pavillion, according to the Nepal Army Military Public Relations and Information Directorate.
As the major highlight of the visit, President Bidya Devi Bhandari will confer the honorary title of the NA CoAS General to the Indian Army Chief Pande amidst a special ceremony.
