Indian CoAS returns home wrapping up Nepal visit

KATHMANDU, March 31: Indian Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), Bipin Rawat has returned to his country on Friday after wrapping up his three day official visit to Nepal.

KATHMANDU, March 31: Indian Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), Bipin Rawat has returned home on Friday after wrapping up his three-day official visit to Nepal.  


Nepal Army CoS Lieutenant General Purna Chandra Thapa bid farewell to Rawat at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari had conferred  the honorary rank of General of the Nepal Army on him on March 29.


During his visit, Indian CoAS Rawat paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Defense Minister Balkrishna Khand and CoAS Rajendra Chhetri.


Rawat arrived in Kathmandu on March 28 at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart the Nepal Army CoAS Rajendra Chhetri.
