Muglin, July 16: Police held an Indian national in possession of 43-kg hashish in Chitwan. A police team deputed from Area Police Office, Tandi under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Santosh Acharya nabbed Nurjaha Khatun with hashish at 8.30 pm on Monday.
Khatun, aged around 70, a resident of Motihari, India has been living at his daughter's home at Ratnanagar municipality-2 in Chitwan. Khatun along with the banned substance has been kept at Tandi Area Police Office for further investigation, said Ek Narayan Koirala, spokesperson of District Police Office, Chitwan. At least seven persons injured in a microbus accident. The microbus (Ga 1 Kha 5355) heading to Narayangarh from Kathmandu lost its control and overturned at Bharatpur metropolis-1, Anptari at 6.45 pm on Monday, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The injured are receiving treatment in different hospitals of Bharatpur, informed district police spokesperson Koirala. Among the injured the condition of Ranjana Timilsina, 25, of Ratnanagar municipality-2 is said to be critical. She is being treated at new medical college, police said.
Among other injured are Bikas Alemagar, 33, of Bharatpur metropolis, Anish Raut, 21, and Anu Raut, 21, of Nijgadh municipality-6, Bara, Krishna Rimal, 81, of Kathmandu metropolis-31, Sandeep Neupane, 30 and Meena Timalsina, 28, police added.
