International standard stadium in Pokhara soon: Sports Minister Bishwakarma

POKHARA, March 20: Minister for Youth and Sports, Jagat Bishwakarma, today said a well equipped international standard stadium would be built soon in Pokhara. He also pointed out the possibility in linking tourism of the lake city with sports, while speaking at a press conference organised in Pokhara by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, Kaski.

Acknowledging the fact that sports cannot get a progress unless an environment is created for athletes to make a living through their professions, he said a cricket ground would be built up for its development, while he referred to great achievements made so far by the national cricket team despite limited resources and infrastructures. 


Also, he said constructions of physical instructors necessary for the upcoming South Asian Games, 2019 have been sped up. RSS
