Irate locals close Araniko Highway at Radhe Radhe against fatal accident

BHAKTAPUR, June 3: Family and relatives of Deepak Khyaju of Nikosera of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-9 in Bhaktapur who was killed Saturday after a bus hit his motorcycle have disrupted the Araniko Highway at Radhe Radhe today, demanding action ( under murder case) against the bus driver and proper compensation to the victim.

A bus (Ba 3 Kha 2722) en route to Kathmandu from Bhaktapur hit a motorcycle (Ba 4 Pa 2094) coming from Nikosera, killing the 24-year-old motorcyclist. Locals and kin of the deceased have picketed the Metropolitan Police Circle at Madhyapur Thimi in protest against the accident.


According to Circle's Deputy Superintendent of Police Prajwal Maharjan, police have already arrested bus driver Deep Bahadur Pradhan, 28, from Sindhupalchowk and currently living at Chyamasingh, Bhaktapur. Further investigations into the case are underway. RSS
