Journalist Joshi extends financial assistance to teenage girl battling with bone marrow disease

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Journalist Manoj Joshi has provided financial assistance of Rs 21,100 to the family of Prema, a 19-year-old resident of Mahalaxmi Municipality-2 in Dhankuta district who is battling a rare bone marrow disease.

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Journalist Manoj Joshi has provided financial assistance of Rs 21,100 to the family of Prema, a 19-year-old resident of Mahalaxmi Municipality-2 in Dhankuta district who is battling a rare bone marrow disease. 


Prema, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, was undergoing treatment at the civil hospital in Kathmandu. However, due to insufficient funds, her medical care had been interrupted.

Upon learning about Prema's condition and the financial challenges faced by her family, Journalist Joshi felt compelled to extend a helping hand. Joshi stated that, just like the ocean is formed by every drop of water, this financial support, no matter how small, can make a meaningful impact.


Bishnu Kumar Rogu, Prema's father, expressed gratitude, saying, "When we are seeking all helping hands to save Prema's life, this support from journalist Joshi proved invaluable to us."


Born in Tanahun district, Manoj Joshi is a well-known figure in Nepal, a skilled television journalist, news anchor/correspondent, and talk show host. Joshi, who has been involved in television journalism for two decades, has earned fame by working as a news anchor, interviewer, and news producer on television channels such as Kantipur Television and Image Channel.


Journalist Joshi has gained recognition as a philanthropist for consistently aiding the less fortunate as a compassionate gesture.
