Artist/Art writer Devendra Thumkeli's 'Kalakar Jiwanbritta', a book on biographies of Thanka and Paubha artists has been released on Sunday at Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Naxal. A total of 12 artists' biographies are presented in 168-page book and has been published by NAFA. The book was launch by KK Karmacharya, Chancellor of NAFA.

Talking in the event, Karmacharya praised Thumkeli's work as only a handful of authors write about Nepali art scenario. Likewise, Chairperson of the Nepal Fine Arts Journalists' Society, Keshav Raj Khanal emphasized on the need of another volume of the book as there are numerous traditional artists who work in Thanka and Paubha. The book is priced Rs 300.


Meanwhile, Professor Tej Bilas Adhikari and scholar Buddhi Gurung too shared their opinion in the event.
