Karnali Province Cabinet to get full shape today: CM Kandel

KARNALI, April 30: The chief minister (CM) of Karnali Province, Yam Lal Kandel, has said the Karnali province government will get a full shape today.

KARNALI, April 30: The chief minister (CM) of Karnali Province, Yam Lal Kandel, has said the Karnali province government will get a full shape today.


CM Kandel, who has retained the control of all ministries so far, has made preparations to give a full shape to the provincial cabinet in coordination with the ruling parties. 


He had appointed the chief whip of the CPN (Moist Center) in Karnali Province Assembly, Ran Singh Pariyar, as a minister without portfolio on April 24.

The Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Urban Development, the Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative and the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law will be appointed from the CPN-UML, he said. 


Similarly, Ministers for Economic Affairs and Planning, Social Development, Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment and Water Resources and Energy Development will be appointed from the CPN (Maoist Center). 


CPN (Maoist Center) Karnali Province Assembly leader Raj Kumar Sharma mentioned that they have already submitted to CM Kandel the names of the ministers to be appointed from the party. 


According to the Secretariat of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, preparations are being made to appoint the ministers and administer them the oath of office and secrecy today itself. 


Kandel was appointed as the CM of Karnali Province on April 9.
