Kathmandu Metropolitan City: Balen leading his nearest rival  Singh almost by double votes, Sthapit in the third place

KATHMANDU, May 23: Independent candidate for the post of Kathmandu Metropolitan City mayor Balendra Shah has received more than 43,000 votes.

KATHMANDU, May 23: Independent candidate for the post of Kathmandu Metropolitan City mayor Balendra Shah has received more than 43,000 votes.


Balen Shah got 43,850 votes out of 128,485 votes counted in the metropolis.

The ruling alliance candidate Srijana Singh of Nepali Congress got 25,944 votes. CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit is in the third position. He has received 25,059 votes.
