KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Nepal Police have requested the general public to be cautious saying a group of fraudsters have been defrauding people in the name of online delivery of goods. Such fraudsters have robbed the general public of thousands of rupees in the name of online delivery of goods, said the police. People should be cautious and not make online payments without the confirmation of the delivery of goods they order, said Deputy Inspector General of Police Kuber Kadayat, Nepal Police spokesperson.

"Lately, there has been an increase in complaints relating to frauds by advertising goods on social media and making customers make advance payments and blocking customers' accounts without delivery. So, while transacting online, people should go ahead only after checking whether or not the relevant page or account is official," he said.
