KMC removes digital hoarding boards

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has removed digital hoarding boards in Tripureshwor and other places of the city. The Kathmandu Municipal Police team closed the digital hoarding board at the World Trade Center on Thursday afternoon while continuing to demolish illegal structures.

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has removed digital hoarding boards in Tripureshwor and other places of the city. The Kathmandu Municipal Police team closed the digital hoarding board at the World Trade Center on Thursday afternoon while continuing to demolish illegal structures.


The metropolis has started a campaign to remove digital hoarding boards because of the increase in road accidents. Mahesh Kafle, co-spokesperson of the metropolis, informed Republica that all the hoarding boards that are placed against the rules of the metropolis will be removed.

Despite the request by the traffic police not to place the digital hoarding boards, the authorities concerned didn’t show any care earlier.
