Leopard that injured two people found dead

HETAUDA, Feb 15: A leopard has been found dead after injuring two people in Thaha Municipality located in the northern area of Makwanpur.


According to the Area Police Office Palung, Hemant Kumar Dhakal ,66, and Sabitri Devi Dhakal, 60, were injured in a leopard attack in Thaha Municipality-2, Angare on Wednesday evening.

The Dhakal couple has been sent to Palung Primary Health Center for treatment. Hemant has multiple wounds on his body.


Shyam Thapa Magar, the Chief Police Inspector at the Area Police Office in Palung, said that a leopard fell into the septic tank of Jagannath Dhakal's residence while escaping after it had injured the Dhakal couple.


Inspector Magar explained that following the attack on the couple, locals and their dogs chased the leopard, which ultimately led to the animal falling into the septic tank and sustaining a head injury.
