KATHMANDU, August 11: Litterateur and former bureaucrat Pralhad Pokharel has been appointed as the general manager (GM) of the state-owned Sajha Publications.
A meeting of the Sajha Publications Governing Committee held on Tuesday made a decision to this effect, according to a press statement issued by the publications.

A permanent resident of Rawa Besi Rural Municipality-1, Khotang, Pokharel has been living in Kapan in Kathmandu. He previously served at the Ministry of Home Affairs as a senior official.
Apart from editing literary texts, Pokharel has penned a number of books. Pokharel has vowed to strengthen Sajha Publications which is reeling under financial hardships and various other anomalies over the past few years.
