Lockdown enforced in Nuwakot to curb spread of COVID-19

NUWAKOT, Aug 7: In a bid to curb further spread of COVID-19, the local authorities have enforced lockdown orders until further notice in Nuwakot from Friday.

NUWAKOT, Aug 7: In a bid to curb further spread of COVID-19, the local authorities have enforced lockdown orders until further notice in Nuwakot from Friday.


The District COVID-19 Management Committee took a decision to this effect.

According to Chief District Officer Jang Nath Dhakal, all public vehicles except those used in emergency have been restricted from entering the district during this period.


The District Administration Office has also urged the public to avoid unnecessary gatherings and follow health safety guidelines.


Playgrounds, gyms, futsals, salons and beauty parlors have been closed. Online and other alternative methods for pedagogical activities have been encouraged.


People have been asked to wear face masks in public.
