Mahat claims ruling alliance will bag majority seats in elections

MORANG, Nov 9: Nepali Congress (NC) Joint General Secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has claimed that the ruling parties’ alliance would secure a majority win in the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and the Province Assembly (PA).

MORANG, Nov 9: Nepali Congress (NC) Joint General Secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has claimed that the ruling parties’ alliance would secure a majority win in the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and the Province Assembly (PA). 


Speaking at a press meet in Biratnagar today, Dr Mahat said, “The alliance will get maximum votes in the elections. So, it will form the next government in the federal and province.” 


It may be noted that the voting for the twin elections is taking place simultaneously on November 20.

Mahat, who also takes charge as coordinator of the NC HoR and PA elections Central Publicity Committee, said the NC would never distribute the dreams which would be unachievable. “It implements what it says,” he said. 


Stating that the party has brought its plans keeping the issues of the marginalized and backward communities in the top priority, Dr Mahat said the party is always committed to contributing for the cause of people in need, women and senior citizens. 


In his response to a query, he said the party wants to promote the private sector and see the creation of more jobs for people in the country.
