During the second meeting of the provincial assembly on Friday, the speaker is set to announce the action, which could result in Devkota being relieved of his post.

Devkota, from the Nepal Socialist Party (NSP), contested the election in Gorkha 2 (A) on the Maoist Center symbol. Despite a whip from the Maoist parliamentary party, he voted in favor of CM Pandey on June 10 and subsequently became the energy minister.
Devkota claimed that as he belonged to a different political party, the whips issued by the Maoist Center don’t apply to him.
