KATHMANDU, Nov 7: The government has appointed Dr Rajan Raj Bhatta as the director of the National Public Health Laboratory located in Teku. Minister for Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Mohan Bahadur Basnet assigned Dr Bhatta the role of director in place of Dr Runa Jha.
The position of director has been changed, with an individual who holds a qualification exceeding the 11th level now being placed in the laboratory.

Similarly, Dr Shree Ram Tiwari has been appointed as the Medical Superintendent of Bharatpur Hospital. Dr Tiwari was assigned the responsibility for Bharatpur Hospital after the hospital’s acting director Dr Krishna Paudel was transferred to the Emergency Department at Bir Hospital.
Dr Roshani Laxmi Tuitui, holding the 11th-level position, has been transferred to the Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital Kanti Children's Hospital.
Similarly, Minister Basnet has transferred Upendra Dhungana from the Health Department in Teku to the Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit of the Ministry of Health.
