Multiple – vehicle collision leaves 13 passengers with injuries

RATNANAGAR, May 9: As many as 13 passengers were injured in a collision involving three large vehicles at Sauraha Chowk in Ratnanagar in eastern Chitwan last night.



According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, a west – bound bus (Ba 3 Kha 9311) collided with a truck (Na 6 Kha 6163) coming from the opposite direction after which another bus (Na 5 Kha 9136) coming from behind rammed into the heap.



The third bus was coming from behind the west-bound bus. The accident took place at 12:30 am at Rantnanagar Municipality – 1.



Among the injured passengers, four are being treated at Ratnanagar Bakulahar Hospital while others were rushed to Chitwan Medical College and College of Medical Sciences.



The bus and truck drivers have been detained by the Area Police Office, Ratnanagar. Police assume that speeding could have caused the accident. RSS
