KATHMANDU, Dec 7: A case has been filed against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Supreme Court.
Jhal Kumar Bhagat, a 38-years old fugitive of Nepal Army, of Gram Tham Rural Municipality-3 of Morang, filed a case against 21 defendants including PM Oli, chair Dahal, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and IGP Sarbendra Khanal. In his petition, Bhagat has claimed that he has been sentenced against the spirit of the peace accord between the then seven parties and rebel Maoist.

Bhagat quit Nepal Army and joined the then People Liberation Army of Maoist in 2005. Following the peace process, he was the local leader of YCL.
He was taken into custody in 2017 from his residence by police accusing him of his alleged involvement in anti-election activities. Later he was handed over to Nepal Army for being fugitive. The military court sentenced him life-imprisonment and is serving at Bhimfedi jail in Makwanpur.
Senior advocates Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Shambhu Thapa, Hari Phuyal, Bal Krishna Neupane, Upendra Keshari Neupane, Tulasi Bhatta, Sher Bahadur KC, Ram Bahadur Shrestha and Ek Raj Bhandari will argue on behalf of the plaintiff.
