KATHMANDU, Nov 1: CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center) have decided to mobilize students to assist for nominations of the top leaders of Left alliance for the upcoming second phase of the election.
The students from each party will assist the leaders from next party for the registration of the candidacy in the respective constituency.
Indian, Chinese envoys call on PM
The meeting of the alliance has decided to mobilize Ranjit Tamang, chairperson of All Nepal National Free Students Union ANNSFU (Revolutionary) for the nominations of UML chair KP Sharma Oli whereas All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) chair Nabina Lama will assist MC chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Likewise, Uttam Adhikari, RC Lamichhane, Deepak Devkota and Ain Mahar will assist Madhav Kumar Nepal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Ishwar Pokhrel and Ram Bahadur Thapa respectively.
Both parties have decided to strengthen the unity of the Left alliance, said RC Lamichhane, ANNFSU secretary. Leaders Shankar Pokhrel and Barshaman Pun will train the student leaders of joint poll campaign committee on Wednesday. Likewise youth and journalist wings of both parties are to be mobilized unitely.
